Daily Progress Reports

Capture site work summaries, weather, stage progress, manpower, material usage, issues, photos, review status, and client-safe updates.

Use this when: Your team needs to record what happened on site each day and share approved updates with clients.

A daily progress report (DPR) is your daily site record. It ties together work done, material used, issues, safety notes, photos, and a review decision — and it can feed both stage progress and the client portal.

The Daily Reporting Cycle

  1. 1

    Pick the project and date

The form can prefill the project's stages and any draft already started for that day.

  2. 2

    Record what happened

Add weather, work summary, planned work, stage progress, manpower, material usage, equipment, issues, safety notes, and photos.

  3. 3

    Save a draft or submit

Drafts can be edited freely. Once submitted, the report waits for review and should not be treated as final.

  4. 4

    Review the report

An authorised reviewer approves, returns for changes, or rejects the report.

  5. 5

    Approved reports update progress

Approved reports can update stage progress and, if your company enables it, automatically record material usage as stock consumption.

Report Review Status

Daily report review flow

Reports flow from draft to submitted, then a reviewer approves, returns, or rejects. Returned reports can be fixed and resubmitted.

What Clients See

Approved daily reports can appear in the client portal. Clients see the work summary, planned work, public safety information, and any issues or photos you have marked as client-visible.

Internal remarks, costs, wages, and supplier details never appear in the client view.

Mark visibility deliberately

Only mark issues and photos as client-visible when they are appropriate to share. A daily report is both an internal record and a client update.
