Comments and @Mentions
Discuss any record with threaded comments, loop teammates in with @mentions, and get notified only when you are actually needed.
Use this when: You need to discuss a specific record with your team, right where the work is happening, and loop someone in directly.
Comments attach a threaded discussion to almost any record, projects, purchase orders, payments, IPCs, change orders, RFIs, punch items, inspections, deliveries, documents, and daily reports, so the conversation stays with the work instead of scattering across chat and email.
Where Comments Live
Open any supported record and look for its Discussion panel or Comments section, a project's Discussion tab, or a panel on a purchase order, payment, IPC, change order, RFI, punch item, inspection, delivery, document, or daily report.
You can only see and post comments on a record if you already have permission to view that record, comments never expose something you could not otherwise see.
Looping Someone In with @Mentions

Type @ in the composer
Start typing a name after @ to search active teammates who can already see this record.

Pick the person
Select them from the list, they are added as a mention chip in your comment.

They get notified
Mentioned people get an in-app notification that links straight back to the comment, the author is never notified of their own mention.
Mentions respect access
You can only mention people who already hold permission to view the record, a mention never leaks who is working on something they should not see.
Replies, Edits, and Deleting
Replies are one level deep, enough to keep a thread readable without endless nesting.
You can edit your own comment for 15 minutes after posting, after that it is locked in.
Deleting a comment leaves a visible "comment removed" placeholder so replies still make sense.
