FAQ and Troubleshooting
Quick answers to common questions about login, permissions, workflow status, uploads, inventory, portals, and reports.
Use this when: Something is not behaving as expected and you want a quick answer or fix before contacting support.
Most questions come down to a few things: which company you signed into, what your role allows, the status of the workflow, missing master data, or visibility rules.
Common Questions
| What you see | Likely reason | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| I can sign in but only see a few pages | Your role is missing some permissions | Ask an admin to review your role and permissions in Users. |
| I keep getting sent back to the login page | Your session expired and could not refresh | Sign in again; confirm you are using the correct company. |
| I cannot approve an order or payment | Wrong status or you lack the approve permission | Check the workflow status and confirm you have approval rights. |
| A delivery did not change stock | The delivery was not verified | Only verified deliveries update stock and cost. |
| A client cannot see a document | It is not approved or not marked client-visible | Check approval status and the client-visible toggle. |
| Daily-report material usage did not update stock | Automatic posting is off, or a unit is unsupported | Ask an admin about the auto-post setting and check the units. |
| A report looks out of date | Analytics are cached for speed | Refresh the filters to recalculate the report. |
A Simple Troubleshooting Order
- 1
Confirm the person and company
Check who is signed in, which company, their roles, and the exact screen.
- 2
Check permissions
Confirm the role allows the action before assuming the screen is broken.
- 3
Check the status
Many actions are blocked by workflow status, not by a bug.
- 4
Check linked records
Confirm the project, vendor, material, contractor, file, or client access is in place.
- 5
Review activity history
Use activity history to see recent changes and approvals.
Do's and Don'ts
Don't grant admin access just to fix one missing permission — add the specific permission instead.
Don't change stock balances by hand without recording a clear adjustment reason.
Don't share client or vendor links in screenshots or chat logs.
Don't try to make a private file public to work around a download issue.
Do note the screen, person, company, and time before escalating to support.
